Why it matters

Some frames and frame apps can show photos from an album. Whether yours can, and which services it works with, is in the maker's manual. We do not claim any frame works with any service.

Google Photos

Google's help pages say to select photos, create an album with a title, then tap Share. You can share with people or create a link. Google says that when you share a link to an album, anyone with the link can view the photos and add to the album. The album owner can turn off Collaborate to stop others adding photos.

Apple Photos

Apple says to turn on Shared Albums in iCloud settings, then create one from Collections in the Photos app. You choose whether to invite people or share by link. Participants can add their own photos, videos, and comments.

Before you connect a frame

Read what the frame app asks to access. Who can see a shared album

Make a shared album. In Google Photos, per its help pages.
