What resolution means
Britannica defines display resolution as the number of pixels shown on a screen, given as pixels across by pixels high.
The common terms
Britannica lists HD as 1,280 by 720, Full HD as 1,920 by 1,080, QHD as 2,560 by 1,440, and 4K Ultra HD as 3,840 by 2,160.
Why density matters
The same number of pixels on a bigger screen looks less sharp. Britannica says pixel density, in pixels per inch (PPI), is the more accurate measure.
On a frame's spec sheet
Look for both the resolution and the screen size. We do not list frame specs.
